“At Absolute Solar we carefully design the optimum solution for our customers ensuring we meet their needs and answer any concerns they may have and having the best range of solar panels to meet their needs is essential, and I am delighted with the range we provide” says Dean Bliss MD of Absolute Solar.
Solar Panel Payback Model
Solar panels installed by an approved MCS approved and accredited installer such as Absolute Solar benefit from three different elements of payback from their initial investment.
Solar Panels Feed In Tariff (FIT)
With a payback of 21 pence per unit generated through the Feed In Tariff (FIT) coupled with FREE SOLAR ENERGY and an export tariff of 3.1pence, installing solar panels provides an excellent return on investment. Starting with lower electricity (or gas if installing solar thermal to a gas central heated house) costs, typically a skip system with supply up to 60% of a house’s electricity. This immediate cost reduction, from day one of the system going live, customers can see if they use a monitoring system like the SunnyBoy one which Absolute Solar recommends to monitor how much electricity is being generated at any time.
With Feed In Tariff (FIT) of 21 pence per unit payback from your electricity supplier as part of the financial package provides customers of Absolute Solar, an MCS accredited solar panel installer with an enhanced financial incentive to install green, clean technology.
The third element of the payback system is the export tariff which provides customers with money back from their utility supplier where they are generating electricity which is sold back to their utility supplier.

In October 2012 the Governments new flagship programme called Green Deal will replace a variety of existing schemes (CESP, CERT amongst many others) to reduce energy usage and transform our economy to a low carbon economy. The Green Deal will replace existing programmes with an enhanced integrated one which it is hoped will transform the UK economy by reducing our carbon usage by 80% by 2050.
Green Deal Golden Rule
To achieve that the Green Deal will generate a low carbon economy, linking energy conservation to homes and business need. The Golden Rule is that all improvements to domestic or commerical premises under Green Deal will be limited to equivalent saving the improvement will make. With the average home estimated requiring £25,000 invested to bring it up to the standard, that will mean the potential investment will be limited to this figure to reduce energy use and for improvements to domestic dwellings.
Green Deal Domestic Funding
Green Deal will provide homes and business with a new source of funding linked to the buildings need. In 2009 UK homes accounted for 28% of UK energy usage and with over 80% of them envisaged to be still in use by 2050 there is a need to actively reduce their energy consumption. With utility bills estimated to increase by 60% by 2020 the financial impact of not reducing costs will be considerable.
Green Deal Solar
For those who have reduced energy consumption, by installing insulation (both cavity wall and loft), double glazing and modernised their boiler then will then be an opportunity to improve their energy generation using Green Deal funding to install solar panels and other green technologies such as air and ground heat exchangers in domestic and commercial improvements.

Sanyo Solar Panels
Sanyo solar panels become Panasonic solar panel in April 2012. Absolute Solar who regularly install Sanyo’s HIT® Solar Panels, are delighted that Sanyo solar panels will change ot Panasonic solar panels from April. The change of name, is part of a repositioning of the brand is part of a wider scheme of consolidation of brands being carried out by the Panasonic group and is very timely in response to tighter FIT payments brought in from December 12, 2011.
The plan allows the corporation to take advantage of the strengths of each company within the group. Combining SANYO’s solar technical capabilities with Panasonic’s wide global network will allow further synergy to be generated within the group and strengthen the solar business globally.
Mr Shigeki Komatsu, Director of the Solar Division of SANYO Component Europe GmbH, commented, “The brand change is part of the global strategy aimed at expanding the solar business of the Panasonic Group.” “The current manufacturing operations and sales structure will continue under the Panasonic Group. The Group will continue to invest in the solar bus\ainess, allowing us to offer a higher level of service to our business partners and provide our customers with higher quality, more efficient modules,”
“This name change is excellent news for Absolute Solar customer”, says Dean Bliss. “Sanyo panels provide an outstanding efficiency rating of 19% providing excellent solar energy conversion compared to other panels, so the name change and subsequent price reduction without any loss of performance will provide customers with another excellent competitive product alongside our other panel suppliers” Comments Dean Bliss of Absolute Solar

Change in FITs 12.12.2011
The Government announced that the Feed In Tariff (FITs) would change from 43.3pence per unit to a new rate of 21p/kWh for solar PV installations of less than 4kW. This new tariff rate will affect all installations with an eligibility date on or after 12th December 2011.
With the change in FITS coming into play the whole team at Absolute Solar are working flat out to complete all pre-FITS change installations on time before the FIT change comes into play. The pressure on the whole industry is unprecedented as such a rapid and dramtic change to the industry has created a huge pressure on the whole supply chain and the whole UK market.
“I can assure all our customers that Absolute Solar is on time with our installation programme for all customers with orders in the system with us, we are in dealing with four months worth of installs within the six week window of the notification period the government gave us”. Dean Bliss MD Absolute Solar
All existing orders will be completed within the time limit provided by the Government of the 12.12.11.
“Can I thank all customers for their patience in dealing with us, the office has been under huge pressure from customers concerned that their installation may miss the deadline”.
